An Exerpt From Thats Good Eatin'
" When my husband, Mike, and I got married, I didn’t know how to cook, much less cook Italian, so I’d call up Gram and ask how she made something. It was always the same answer – you have to come over and watch me make it, there was no measuring. Being an inexperienced cook, I was used to reading exact amounts. This was when I started paying really close attention to her “a little of this and a little of that,” and I started writing my own notes. That was really the way to learn though, and I did the same thing with my daughter, Julie, and my sons’ wives. However, I kept the measurements as close to Gram’s method as possible using measuring spoons and cups."
